Military exercise to impact routes throughout county

Military exercise to impact routes throughout county

A significant military exercise organized by the Canadian Army will be rolling through Simcoe County early next week impacting numerous highways and secondary roads in our area.

On May 7, 8, and 9, convoys from ‘2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group’, made up of approximately 600 large military vehicles and 2,000 soldiers, will be travelling through the County of Simcoe as part of Exercise SPARTAN BEAR. Although disruption is expected to be minimal, numerous areas and routes will be used on different days, thus impacting traffic.
