Tiny Township & Fireworks

Did you know Tiny Township has a Firework By-Law?

http://bit.ly/1wSV13Q Tiny Township

Link is to the By-Law and application. Looks like if you want to have fireworks other than around the Victoria Day Weekend , Canada Day, or New Years Eve/Day you need to file an application.

Fireworks are not allowed if there is a Fire Ban in place.

Flying lanterns a fire hazard for cottages

Flying lanterns a fire hazard for cottages

There is one thing that has lit a fire under cottagers, it’s fire raining down from the sky.
“What kind of idiot would set an uncontrolled flame floating over cottages and forests to land who knows where?” asks Terry Rees in reference to the popular airborne lanterns that are powered by an open flame in the bottom, much like a hot air balloon. Also known as Chinese, sky, and flying lanterns, they are often released, dozens at a time, at weddings and other parties.

WATER BAN NOW IN EFFECT
Due to the hot dry weather, a complete water ban is now in effect. Outdoor water use is not permitted at any time.  Tiny Township
I am guessing it only applies to those on the Township water systems.

Hope we can get some more rain be fore the long weekend. Lots of brown grass around the beach.

When I see the ban has been lifted I will let you know.
