Along with Health Canada and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, Kidde has issued a recall of AC/DC powered (hardwired with battery backup) residential smoke alarms and combination smoke/CO alarms, models KN-COSM-IBACA, i12010S-CO- CA and i12010S-CA.

November 3, 2014 – Ontario has kicked off its first Carbon Monoxide (CO) Awareness Week (November 1-8).

This public education campaign, “Beat the Silent Killer,” is intended to spread the message and raise awareness about the dangers of CO, and the importance of installing detectors in residential dwellings—including cottages.
